Masala Avocado Toast — Indian Spiced Avocado Toast Recipe
When two food worlds collide! This Masala Avocado Toast is my favourite fusion breakfast — it takes the trendy avocado toast and gives it a proper Indian makeover with chaat masala, fresh coriander, and a squeeze of lime. It’s ready in 10 minutes and looks like something from a fancy brunch cafe.

- 2 ripe avocados
- 4 slices sourdough or whole wheat bread, toasted
- ½ teaspoon chaat masala
- ¼ teaspoon red chili flakes
- Juice of 1 lime
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons fresh coriander, chopped
- Optional toppings: sliced cherry tomatoes, pomegranate seeds, sesame seeds
Instructions
- Mash the avocado: Scoop avocado flesh into a bowl. Add lime juice, salt, and pepper. Mash to your preferred texture (chunky or smooth).
- Toast the bread: Toast bread until golden and crispy.
- Assemble: Spread avocado generously on each slice.
- Season: Sprinkle chaat masala and chili flakes over each toast.
- Garnish: Top with fresh coriander and any optional toppings. Serve immediately.
Tips
- Chaat masala is the magic ingredient — it adds tanginess and depth. Available at any Indian grocery store.
- Add a fried egg on top for extra protein.
- Best eaten immediately so the toast stays crispy.
